Foerderdatenbank
The Foerderdatenbank is the German government's own register of funding programmes - grants, loans, guarantees and equity, from federal ministries, the development banks and each of the sixteen Laender. It is the single place German public funding is catalogued, and it is far larger than the EU call list.

For a German SME this matters more than the EU calls
EU calls are large, competitive and written for consortia. Most of the money a smaller German company can realistically apply for is national or regional - a Land investment grant, a development-bank loan, a guarantee - and it is listed here and nowhere else. If you have been watching the EU portal alone, this is the part of the market you have not been seeing.

National and regional funding is published by each country instead, and in Germany that means the Foerderdatenbank - federal ministries, the development banks and all sixteen Laender in one export. Most of the money a smaller company can realistically apply for is national, not EU wide, which is why both are here.
