How Grantlark works

There is public money you could apply for. The hard part is finding it. Thousands of funding programmes sit open across the EU portal and the German Foerderdatenbank, new ones publish every week, and almost none of them are worded the way you would describe your own business. Grantlark reads all of them, so you only read the ones that fit.

Why good programmes go unnoticed

Most companies find funding one of two ways. They open a catalogue when somebody reminds them, which means they miss the months they were busy. Or they set up keyword alerts, which only catch programmes that happen to use their words. A workshop searching for "Digitalisierung" never sees "Zuschuss fuer die Modernisierung von Produktionsanlagen". The money was there, it was open all year, and nobody told them.

1. Tell us what your company does

A few sentences is enough: what your company does, where it operates, and what it is trying to pay for. No keyword lists to invent, no programme codes to look up, nothing to maintain afterwards. You can add several companies if you apply under more than one.

2. We read every new programme, every hour

Each hour Grantlark pulls everything published since the last run and compares it to your profile by meaning rather than by wording. A programme filed as "Investitionszuschuss zur Prozessmodernisierung" still matches a workshop that said it wanted a new machine, because the thing being funded is the same even when the words are not.

3. You get a shortlist you can act on

Your feed arrives ranked, with the funder and the closing date on every row, and a line saying what earned the score. Most mornings that is a thirty second read instead of an hour of catalogue hopping.

What the score means

Every programme gets a score out of 100 for how closely it sits to your profile. Above 80 is squarely your work. Around 60 is adjacent, and the line beside it names the stretch, usually a region you did not list or an activity you did not mention. It measures fit rather than odds, and the lower ones stay in your feed so the call is yours.

It gets sharper the more you use it

Thumbs up or down on any match, and later programmes are scored accordingly. You are not training it in a separate settings screen. You are just reacting to your own feed, and it tightens around the funding you chase.

Every match links to the original

Every programme comes from an official catalogue through its own data export, and every match links straight back to the original. The funder, the closing date and the conditions are the publisher's own, one click away.
