Find a grant

Find a grant is the Cabinet Office service that lists grant schemes offered by UK government departments and their arm's-length bodies, with the eligibility and the closing date on each. It is deliberately a short list rather than an exhaustive one: schemes appear while they are open and come off when they close.

Few schemes, short windows

This is the smallest catalogue Grantlark reads, and the one where timing matters most. A scheme is listed while it is open and removed when it closes, so a few weeks of not looking is the whole window. Amounts are in pounds and the eligibility is usually tight, which makes it quick to rule yourself in or out once something is actually in front of you.

EU calls and national programmes

An EU call is published once, centrally, and is open to applicants across the member states. National and regional funding is published by each country instead, in its own register and its own language - the Förderdatenbank in Germany, the BDNS in Spain, Incentivi.gov.it in Italy, and so on. Most of the money a smaller company can realistically apply for is national or regional rather than EU wide, which is why the national registers are the larger part of this list.
